More than 40 techies made Pipeline Brickell their home over the weekend.
Hosted by Refresh Miami, the Windows 8 Hackathon gave participants the opportunity to build and work on their Windows 8 Store applications in an open developer environment.
Participants were able to start their apps in advance of the event – sponsored by Microsoft, TelAPI, Alienware and Pipeline Brickell – but were given a secret rule that was announced at the start of the Hackathon.
The attendees dispersed throughout Pipeline’s shared office space, some working at our dedicated desks and flex space, while others took over the lounge area.
After a full day of work and friendly competition, the winners were announced and prizes handed out, including the Windows 8 Slate device and gift cards.
Congrats to all the participants and winners who made this another successful event at Pipeline.
Hosting at our space RefreshMiami, a group doing phenomenal work in South Florida’s web and tech community, is one of the reasons why we created Pipeline to foster creativity and support innovation.
